IN FOCUS

Let us introduce ourselves: we are the Stellar's Desire group of two young ladies born in the same year on the same day - Esther opera and crossover singer and Desirée, ballerina from Eastern Europe. Our friendship began in our childhood, and a common vision united us since then.

From the beginning we are intent on becoming original. We are led by Ralph Waldo Emerson's phrase: "envy is ignorance, imitation is suicide."

The Stellar’s Desire group was founded in november 2009. We strive to show our innovative vision (musical style, dramaturgy, dancing props, costumes) to the musical world and to the audience as well. Our goal is to make this Eastern-European company internationally acknowledged.

Innovations:

  • Introducing a new style: I&I – InStyle InVogue
  • Revising classical works
  • The concerts are based on two protagonists: a singer and a dancer
  • Practical Partner – international patent
  • Own designed and made costumes

During our two years of exist many innovations have been born. We try to refashion the crossover style which is so popular in the United States and develop the „over crossover” form which we named I&I – InStyle InVogue. The essence of the new style is to tell an actual story with the mix of the different musical trends (the most popular songs from classical and modern music) and the classical elements (opera and ballet). Concerning the performance the classical and the modern interpretation changes in the singing and also in the choreography.

The dramaturgy is rest upon psychological bases. We carefully pay attention to have the chosen song fit into the theme both with their lyrics and their sounds. The improvement of the protagonists is continuous throughout the show. Instead of a traditional concert which contains separate songs here the performance forms a carefully chosen and grouped InStyle InVogue musical evening.

Experiences prove that the different operas are not very popular, because most people (especially the younger generation) find them too long or too hard to digest. Considering this, Stellar’s Desire developed I&I – we revise an opera aria to have the whole story of an opera known. In our latest works we revised the grand aria of Puccini’s Turandot with modern harmonies in 12 minutes. Esther sings the original melody while the symphonic accompaniment is followed by modern arrangements which helps the story go on. In the instrumental background the whole story and action comes to life with more and more dancers.

In contrast to other traditional groups there are two main characters here, we the singer, and the dancer who form the story together. Esther reveals the action with the fixed lyrics while Desirée tells that with the instruments of dancing and acting. With this technique we merge yet keep the differences between the two art forms therefore the inferior-superior relations so typical of these two styles can not be taken shape.

Beyond the elements of style we lift the standard of our performances with new and up to date props. At this time we take out a patent for a new stage prop – Practical Partner which is a novelty in show business. With the help of this, a dancing partner can be changed without beautiful pirouettes and liftings would be left from the choreography. Besides this, set can be functioned as a spectular show element with extra effects.

At this time Stellar’s Desire works on a show called The Secret of Life that reveals the trials of a woman who wants to go back to nature. This two-women performance perfectly demonstrates our abilities and shows the essence of our style.

The experiences so far illuminated that the audience gets covered with the concerts and stays under their impressions for a long time, it may be concluded that this style and the company itself has to have and has its place in the world of show business.
